This bug has been confirmed to be fixed by yeus, who reported the bug.
Therefore, I'm marking it as fix released. However if you still get the
issue, first make sure that you use latest ubuntu version without any
workaround (such as adding i8042.reset i8042.nomux i8042.nopnp
i8042.noloop in grub), this should not be necessary for this bug to
disappear. If you can reproduce this bug with ubuntu without any
workaround, please open a new bug report for "linux" package, by typing
"ubuntu-bug linux" (without the quotes "") in a terminal and put a
reference to this bug ( bug #334249 ) in your new bug description. This
will help developer to track the issues individually. Thanks for your
