Thanks for your bug report. Unfortunately, because this bug is not
reported against any package, it didn't get any attention during a long
time. Therefore, would it be possible for you to confirm if you can
still reproduce this bug with latest ubuntu version? The latest ubuntu
version is currently ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala.
Additionnally, there has been many changes in the way volume is managed
in Karmic, which gives many chances for this issue to be fixed with next
release.
