Tony It's not a driver problematic. It's a Network Manager that doesn't work. I have this intel wifi card and Network Manager on 9.10 doesn't work with WPA Wifi (though it used to work on previous versions of Ubuntu). And I forced to use Wicd, because once I replaced Network Manager with Wicd I have not issues with Wifi at all.
