This is the person who reported this. Apparently, it does work. I apologize. However, the developers of IDR, probably need to make A HECK A LOOK MORE OBVIOUS. The only thing that you see on the screen is a small, almost tiny Icon in the shape of a small colored circle up in the Gnome Panel. I just accidentally noticed it AFTER I reported that IDR does NOT WORK AT ALL ABOVE. Once again. Sorry for the false alarm. But the developer need to add some kind of CONSPICUOUS Pop Up when it first starts. We end-users are NOT mind readers.

I - stalled it using the Ubuntu Software Center, even added two suggested + installed it using the Ubuntu Software Center, even added two suggested files via the Synpatic Package Mgr. Still doesn't work at all. Every issue of Ubuntu, I've always had problems w/Istanbul Desktop Recorder, However, at least, in previous versions of Ubuntu, it did work partially. I am not a techie only an end-user. So, please try to get it fixed.
