Charlie,
I only know MS Windows. I don't know how to attach files in Linux - - is
it possible when the system won't boot (come up)? I really want to get off
the expensive MS band wagon...
If you can let me know how to get the info off my PC when it won't boot
(I'm get the kernel must load first error) I appreciate it.
Thanks!
Steve

Status in “debian-installer” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete

Bug description:
Binary package hint: debian-installer

I downloaded the xubuntu 9.10 alternate install on Thursday and then
successfully installed the software on my old notebook with 128MB of RAM.
When
I boot the PC the GNU Grub version 1.97 beta comes up and when I select
Ubutu, Linix 2.6.31-14 generic I get the error, "You need to load the kernel
first". I verified both the CD and my PCs 128MB of memory and they are good.
