Note: I verified & my soundcard is seen as the default card and the required drivers are enabled-obviously since there is something happening in pulse audio... ok I just found that there is a bug with my card: Alternate channel mappings needed for ICE1712! I will try to follow the instructions in DebuggingSoundProblems/KarmicCaveats. I am hoping that the next LTS version with the rt kernel will have this bug solved and be stable; I am looking forward to finally learning to use linux multimedia production apps-which I had postponned until I got this latest self-built AMD system!
