Hi, I got this error for the first time some days ago, I didn't change anything
and suddenly my system started crashing, going into kernel panic.
I've a Dell Vostro 1510 with Nvidia card, Ubuntu 9.10 - 64 bit and a custom
kernel 2.6.32.3, compiled some months ago and that always run fine.

In my logs, I found messages like eval- ones, about hpet increasing min_delta
and rsyslog/kmsg started.
This morning I tried uninstalling rsyslog, and since then everything is fine, I
haven't had a kernel panic for the last 6 hours, while this morning I got 3
(!!) panic in just one hour, and the last weekend I got a panic every time I
use my note, every hour.

I don't know if this is the solution, I really hope it continues to work.. I
need my note for my job, and I'm very disappointed about this sort of problems,
it seems like Ubuntu is trying to emulate Windows also with these
I-dont-know-yesterday-was-working problems. I'm really considering to get
Gentoo.

I don't know what's wrong with rsyslog, I don't remember, maybe last friday
this package or something linked to it was updated?
