i'm using ubuntu 9.10 on a dell mini 9 and have this problem. according
to what i've read in a hurry, i think the problem might be the way the
wifi driver timestamps the networks it detected and not network manager
itself. btw, i'm using the non-free driver that ubuntu offered me.

anyway, i just wanted to post a dirty workaround i hacked that fixes the
problem for me. just drop the attached file in the /usr/lib/pm-
utils/sleep.d directory, it stops and restarts the net manager during
suspend and resume.
