I get the same results as BrowneR on my Thinkpad R500 with a "SD Host controller: Ricoh Co Ltd R5C822 SD/SDIO/MMC/MS/MSPro Host Adapter (rev 21)" but the script found here https://help.ubuntu.com/community/AspireOne/Ubuntu9.10 works for me.
