If that doesn't work, try commenting out that entire "if" block marked with leading +'s in http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6105#c37 If that still doesn't work, it may be a problem with your i8042 hardware. Can you reproduce this on a different motherboard?
