Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gedit
Package gedit. Ubuntu release 9.10. apt-cache policy gedit gedit: Instalovaná verze: 2.28.0-0ubuntu2 Kandidát: 2.28.0-0ubuntu2 Tabulka verzí: *** 2.28.0-0ubuntu2 0 500 http://cz.archive.ubuntu.com karmic/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status In 'Open File' dialog, I enter an URI such as sftp://myserver/myfile I expect the file to get opened. Instead, the dialog stays numb - nothing happens at all. No error message is written to console. This is more of a gtk+ bug. It happens in every application tried on karmic, such as gedit, eog. Tried on lucid, intrepid and on Gentoo where it worked as expected.
