Thanks a lot for the comment Schily! I've found https://launchpad.net /~ubuntu-burning/+archive/ppa, which holds an older version of cdrtools. I will upgrade that package to 2.01.01a76 and put it into my own PPA. I'll post my findings here when i tested it :) Hopefully my girlfriend will be able to use her cdwriter soon :)
