1. From the grub bootmenu, press e to get to edit mode. 2. Erase the line starting with "search --nofloppy ..." and then press Ctrl+X to boot. 3. When up and running you should run the command sudo update-grub.
I was able to perform steps 1 and 2 and boot successfully once but then rebooting gvives me the same problem, iUnrstand because I wasnt able to complete the Step #3 of updating grub Will someone please explain to me how to perform step 3, I type sudo update-grub in the box from #2 and try to boot but it says that id does not recognize the command sudo - I do not understand what this means by "when up and running", once I hit Cntrl X to boot , having deleted the line, there is no time to type anything before the system boots up. Where do I type sudo update-grub? Will someone please explain?
