Sebastian. Your comments are appreciated, and you have every right to feel the way that you do. There IMO will always be the debate that pidgin is better than empathy and vice versa, and theres nothing wrong with that as the idea spawned from a lot of those debates make their way into both programs. Thankfully pidgin will still be available to download in future Ubuntu releases, and you are welcome to use that instead.
If you really want the in-scoop on a lot of these issues then you can go to #empathy in gimpnet IRC or #telepathy in freenode IRC. In the case of this bug report, there are soo many protocols that there are to make a file transfer for, and its a completely new framework, that it will take time to get them all. I welcome you to check out http://bugzilla.gnome.org and search empathy bugs, as well as http;//bugs.freedesktop.org to check out telepathy-* bugs to participate actively upstream. If you want I can turn this into a wishlist bug, requesting the feature. But please don't expect much action once that happens, as I dont' know when this will get more attention. -- Send file doesn't work https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/528489 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
