Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evolution
In Evolution, it is not possible to create a recurring task. This functionality is important for people (like me) who want to use the task list to manage our recurring tasks, for example: this bill is due every month on the 15th, remember to schedule a car tune-up every so often, etc. I realize that one can set recurring EVENTS, however this is kind of a kluge: tasks and events really have different semantics, and it's a pain to try and remember that some of my "tasks" might actually be sitting on my calendar, one month out of view. NOTE: This bug is distinct from bug 183523. Both that bug and this one have equivalents in GNOME's Bugzilla. And the GNOME bug equivalent to this one is over nine years old.
