I'm experiencing this bug again in 9.10, although the UI control is
gone, the respective gconf key does not work either:

/apps/gdm/simple-greater/settings-manager/sound/active

I've unchecked the box for that key, but Ubuntu still plays the greater
sound after graphical login (gdm configured with autologin, just in case
it matters).

Should we re-open this bug or do you think it's a different bug and it
needs a different bug report?
