Although the release 2.29.91 says that "fixed a bug that prevented mentions/replies to get added to the messaging indicator" and although Bug 528270 is now fixed, I just tested Gwibber in a freshly installed Karmic and it's still not adding mentions/replies to the messaging indicator.
