Oh, this bug is so old, that I hardly remember what exactly was the cause of all. Still, I would like to see initrc script for git-daemon, packaged into current debs. :) I solved all my problems some time ago, and I also wrote it on wiki: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Git Let's close the bug as invalid.
