Public bug reported:

I was installing a new dapper drake dual boot on my new dell windows xp
box.

I chose "resize scsi1 (0,0,0),partion #1 (sda) and use freed space". I
opted for 35% (81.0GB) of my 250 GB maxtor SATA disk.

And this gave the following errorbox:
Failed to create enough space for installation

And then after the messagebox OK, I can retry, so I retry, but only the
powerfan starts spinning up, but no harddisk activity or nothing else.

On reboot and retry the same thing happens.

** Affects: Ubuntu
     Importance: Untriaged
         Status: Unconfirmed
