Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-core

I first noticed this in Dapper, but seems to be even worse with Edgy.
Even when 'top' reports no processes using more than 2% of CPU time,
there is a noticeable lag whenever I press a key (I'd estimate at least
0.1 seconds), some keystrokes are dropped altogether, and sometimes
auto-repeat sticks 'on' until I bash some other keys to make it stop. I
checked my keyboard accessibility settings, but everything except
'repeat keys' is turned off.

I'm using a Powerbook G4, ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 card, radeon driver,
X.org 7.1.1 (latest edgy packages).

** Affects: xorg-server (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Untriaged
         Status: Unconfirmed
