Public bug reported: Binary package hint: indicator-applet
Every time I start my computer, indicator-applet and indicator-session don't work, crashing with the following errors: OAFIID:GNOME_FastUserSwitchApplet OAFIID:GNOME_IndicatorSession (something like that) The problem only occurs during boot or restart. If I logout and start Gnome again, it works. If I wait the errors and use "killall gnome- panel", the panel is reloaded with all the applets working. Removing the applets stops the errors. Adding it again, the problems are back again. I've have tryed to stop X and gconf and remove all the Gnome config files and directories, without success. I've tryed to edit /etc/xdg/autostart/indicator-applet.desktop and change the startup phase, no success again. .xsession-errors: ** (gnome-panel:2962): DEBUG: Adding applet 6. ** (gnome-panel:2962): DEBUG: Adding applet 7. ** (gnome-panel:2962): DEBUG: Adding applet 8. ** (gnome-panel:2962): DEBUG: Adding applet 9. ** (gnome-panel:2962): WARNING **: panel-applet-frame.c:1310: failed to get Bonobo/Control interface on applet OAFIID:GNOME_IndicatorApplet: ** (gnome-panel:2962): WARNING **: panel-applet-frame.c:1310: failed to get Bonobo/Control interface on applet OAFIID:GNOME_FastUserSwitchApplet: ** (gnome-panel:2962): WARNING **: panel-applet-frame.c:1310: failed to get Bonobo/Control interface on applet OAFIID:GNOME_Panel_TrashApplet: ** (gnome-panel:2962): DEBUG: Adding applet 10. ** (gnome-panel:2962): DEBUG: Adding applet 11. /etc/xdg/autostart/indicator-applet.desktop: [Desktop Entry] Type=Application Name=Indicator applet Exec=sh -c "sleep 60 && python /usr/share/gnome-panel/add-indicator-applet.py" OnlyShowIn=GNOME; AutostartCondition=GNOME /apps/panel/need_add_indicator_applet X-GNOME-Autostart-Phase=Applications X-Ubuntu-Gettext-Domain=gnome-panel-2.0 ** Affects: indicator-applet (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: gnome gnome-panel indicator-applet oafiid -- Indicator applet crashes during login https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/537383 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
