Binary package hint: language-selector
If /etc/default/locale is not user _readable_, then gnome-language-
selector crashes. After a manual installation with debootstrap this
file ends up with mode 600... mode 644 allows gnome-language-selector to
work but I can't figure out who's setting the mode on this file in the
first place.
