Looks like it might be a problem with mlt

$ ldd /usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/_mlt.so

$ locate libmlt++.so.3
/usr/lib/libmlt++.so.3
$ locate libmlt++.so.2
$ 

Depends shows that it depends on  libmlt++3
