This package is already in Debian unstable. But neither the older
version (1.0.0-2) nor the current version (1.1.0-1) were synced.

Chef 0.8.x requires libmixlib-authentication-ruby v1.1.0. I have added a
request to update Chef in Ubuntu to version 0.8.6:
