I forgot to mention some things: - When the copy/paste problem is happening, if I open up a new tab and try to type into the address bar, the text keeps getting highlighted blue, and every new keypress overwrites the former keypress. If I type quickly, I can get a few letters in before it auto-highlights / overwrites the text.
- When in failure mode, the 'Search Google for' brings up not a ubuntu themed google page (I was going by my flawed memory) but instead the google firefox page.
