Hello Jeremy Foshee, I installed fresh karmic after having some issues with Karmic alpha3 or 4. On fresh install, If I recall correctly, it happened only once or twice (max) since then. And when I went to console and back, everything was back to normal.
About reproduction of bug.. it's almost impossible for me to reproduce it "by force". (as always was) I don't know the cause :-( I'll try liveCD for a few days. Which kernel(s) to try? I was using this for quite a long time (a month?) linux-image-2.6.32-02063202-generic and no problem with it i think. ps; Where is that mainstream "tag"?
