Actually, I think I may have narrowed the problem down a bit. It also
happens when the viewer is xpdf. However, the problem seems not to be
with the download as such. For me, the problem consistently appear now
if I "left-click" on a pdf-link, triggering either the automatic
application startup, the automatic saving of the file, or the dialog for
choosing between the two. However, flash does not break if I save
"directly", by "right-clicking" and choosing "save link as" instead!

Hope this will be seen by people more competent to take this information
to the right guys, than I am...
