Hi kmon, Cold boot the Mac, then you should get the rEFIt screen asking which OS to load, it'll count down from 20sec, at about 10secs choose Linux or Windows. When GRUB loads it should also have had long enough to load the keyboard. Or at least, thats how mine works.
