Hello Jeremy. Currently I am running Ubuntu 9.10 on my machines, so I tried with one of them first before starting downloading 10.04. I used a SonyEricsson module W595 which was one of the modules I tried last time when I reported this. It works fine now with Ubuntu 9.10. Nautilus creates two devices, my phone and my memory card when plugging in. It uses "gphoto2://" to access the devices (gphoto2://[usb:001,010]/store_00020001). Transfers, deletion, renaming etc. of files works without problems.
I do however get an error report on the camara. "Error Initializing camera: -60: Could not lock the device." But I don't know what that should be used for anyway, so I don't see that as a problem. I don't know if this helps, or if you would still like to get the debug information? If you also would like me to test this in the upcoming release, let me know. But I think that if it works in the current release, it properly also works in the upcoming. About the latest upstream kernel test, I will not be able to help. I'm a web programmer, not a system programmer or whatever it is called. I am able to compile a lot of different things like programs, drivers etc. But bigger things like the kernel itself, not so much luck there. If I ever should be lucky enough to complete the compiling, I would properly crash the system to the point of no return after worth :) -- Ubuntu genneral fails with Mass Storage on some SonyEricsson Phones https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/340223 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
