Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: plasma-desktop

I noticed a bug while I was cleaning up some old documents.
I marked several (maybe 30 files) PDF files and pressed Enter to open them all
in Okular. Surprisingly, this quickly made my machine completely unresponsive.
I have a quite modern set up with a 2.5GHz Core 2 Duo and 4 GB RAM and an Intel
solid state disk. So I was not expecting this from opening these PDF files.
Please note that these PDF files are pretty small and simple documents. Only a
few of them contains some images. Apart from that, they are all text.

After the computer was unresponsive some minutes, Plasma crashed.

Steps to reproduce:
 * Open Dolphin and navigate to a folder containing several PDF files (30-40
PDFs)
 * Mark the files.
 * Press Enter
 * Wait until the computer becomes responsive and observe that Plasma crashes.

Please note that I have checked that the crash was not due to OOM-killer
being triggered or something like that. I have plenty of RAM left to
use.

PS.
I am thinking about reporting a separate bug report on Okular making the system
unresponsive for several minutes when opening a few files. Do you agree that
this should be reported?
