comment from the maintainer:

"The playlist isn't the object you're manipulating, you're manipulating videos.
Contrast this to a word processor where you're actually manipulating the
document, not the individual pages or words.

If you opened the playlist using one of the file choosers, it should re-use the
same directory when you're about to save.

Let me know if it doesn't."
