This problem applies to me as well. gtkpod will not recognize the device, but rhythmbox does - but rhythmbox does not load videos. I'm running Karmic Koala with latest updates. It is on a different machine than this one so I don't have any diagnostic output - but the symptoms are the same as above. I tried podsleuth from the repo, and it provided the same error as the one Matteo Rossi indicated.
