Public bug reported: Binary package hint: phonon
Phonon (probably phonon) switches audio device when trying to play music from ALC888 to PulseAudio in KDE4.x. If I remove pulseaudio, the audio doesn't play. I use Alsa 1.0.22.1, with this version the frequency of appearing this bug is lesser, but still occurs. I heard that Kubuntu doesn't work properly with PulseAudio (information from some KDE4 maintainers), I can confirm it, I have to use two mixers and after restart OS the PulseAudio mixer is muted by default, but the Analog ALC888 doesn't work at all! Thanks for any help. I use Acer 5930g, Kubuntu 9.10 x64, Kernel 2.6.31-20 ** Affects: phonon (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: alc888 alsa amarok phonon pulseaudio -- Phonon (probably phonon) switches audio device when trying to play music from ALC888 to PulseAudio https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/539458 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
