this is reproducible. 1) boot computer, login 2) suspend 3) resume 4) apport tells me there has been a serious kernel error, this is the common and harmless, WARNING: at /build/buildd/linux-2.6.32/kernel/power/suspend_test.c:53 suspend_test_finish+0x88/0x90() (also visible in /var/log/messages) 5) click through to report this error. 6) in the activity monitor i can see lots of IOwait 7) dmesg shows lots of "ioatdma 0000:00:08.0: reset" and the trace Mar 16 19:36:04 oberon kernel: [209248.660004] RIP: 0010:[<ffffffff8106c08a>] [<ffffffff8106c08a>] local_bh_enable_ip+0x2a/0xa0 8) hard lock follows shortly
