2. Choose the option "Try without install" with default boot-parameters
3. Screen has fuzzy colors and no text.

1. Booting (X)Ubuntu LiveCD
2. Choose the option "Try without install" without the "quiet splash" option
3. Console with output looking like dmesg
4. After 5 seconds screen switches to graphics and only fuzzy colors and no 
text.

4. A normal desktop.

*** Actual behavior 3 ***
1. Booting (X)Ubuntu LiveCD
2. Choose the option "Check CD" with default boot-parameters
3. Screen has fuzzy colors and no text.

Runs correctly and without any problem in VMWare.
MD5sum of the downloaded iso's were correct.
The fuzzy colors are always the same, not random.
The Ubuntu-version has purple-brown colors.
The Xubuntu-version has green-blue colors.
The Check-CD (both ubuntu/xubuntu) has gray colors.
I'm not entirely sure if it's a plymouth issue, but since I don't see any form 
of splash-screen this was my best guess.
