I installed the PPA on 9.10, trying to fix some issues. It fixed the issue of garbled sound in Spotify, but the workaround of using OSS driver did that as well. I was hoping the PPA version would make PulseAudio actually work with Wine, as it doesn't. Wine doesn't register as a an application playing sound in PulseAudio. In addition, if I play music from Spotify I can't get sound from any other application (like Firefox) or vice versa.
With the PPA I also got a new problem.
