Changing the wallpaper made no difference (was using the space one that has a number of wallpapers the change, that's why I thought that changing it might do something. I just timed the issue exactly. From the time I hit enter after inputting my password, the theme music takes 2 seconds before it starts playing and plays until 7 seconds. Before the desktop appears, another 20 seconds passes - total time from login to desktop is 27 seconds (worse than I thought). Hope there is some other log/s that can be looked at. >From grub to login is quick, but after login it's very slow.
