There is now a property that themes can set to enable this.
Unfortunately many of the panel icon themes are limited in size, but if
they set the x-ayatana-indicator-dynamic style property on GtkImage then
the panel icons will be the same size as the text. I'm not sure any
theme will set this for Lucid though, it'll probably be a "technology
preview." But, it is fixed in indicator-application.
