Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-settings-daemon
Upgraded from Karmic (9.10) today. Used update-manager -d. Update process itself went seemingly well, however after rebooting, the graphical login fails to show a user selection dialogue. All that is shown is the wallpaper (plus the login screen sound plays). Switching to TTY to login via CLI is possible. invoking 'startx' shows that X is already running. Sorry I'm firing blind here, as I have no clue what package handles the user login. ** Affects: gnome-settings-daemon (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: login lucid -- Lucid Beta 1 no graphical login shown https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/542600 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
