** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: ubiquity

I'm trying to install Ubuntu 10.04 Beta 1, but the installer do not
detect the hard drive I have. In LiveCD mode I can see, mount and work
with the partitions of my hard drive but the installer just don't see
  it...

Maybe is the SATA controller, my motherboard is a MSI K7N2 Delta-ILSR
which has a Promise FastTrack 376 chip and a Seagate 80GB SATA hard
  drive..

I started to experience this problem back to Karmic which I have to
- install using the alternate cd, I can provide some other information to
- track the problem.
+ install using the alternate cd...
+
+ EDIT: I have found that this problem is related with dmraid, when I
+ activate it with "dmraid -ay" it mapped the partitions. This is a little
+ odd and can be problematic because is not activated by default.
