Hi Phil! What is your graphic card? For my graphic card I use now the radeon driver. But when I open the gnome-system-monitor it tells me that something is wrong. 'Cause of this message I got in the terminal:
(gnome-system-monitor:2291): Wnck-WARNING **: Unhandled action type _OB_WM_ACTION_UNDECORATE Does anybody know what it means? I only see stripes in that window. And, Phil, you can do this: If you have gstreamer packages installed you can open (with a terminal) "gstreamer-properties" to adjust some things for audio and video playback. It helped me. Now I can watch movies again even in fullscreen.
