Umang... Just to let you know I've sorted out why my Ubuntu start-up kept stopping at the terminal screen. I'm using an old "recycled" PC (to experiment with) and a USB connected Belkin wireless network adaptor that I can only assume was unable to communicate with the PC. I found that if I pulled the usb connector out that Ubuntu would load OK, and consistently. :-) I then found an other wireless adaptor and that worked OK, with no problems starting or closing down. :-[ As you can imagine I was a little unsure at first as this was my first use of Ubuntu 9.10. Sorry for not getting back to you sooner as you were so quick with the helping hand. I now am finding Ubuntu is such a good tool, and I learning more each day of it's full potential.
Anyway, many thanks for the contact, and you quick response to my panic request. As a novice Ubuntu user, I have many questions to ask the Ubuntu forum... Best Regards..
