Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: wicd

Installed wicd on kubuntu Lucid beta1 desktop 386. Wicd is unable to
connect to access point. It fails at the stage of trying to get an IP
address. While it's trying to get an IP address, the status bar shows
lots of hex strings which might be a clue. I attach a screenshot an d
acopy of wicd.log, although it doesn't seem to say anything interesting.

I know the hardware works because knetworkmanager connects reliably (I want
wicd so I can have wireless without a gui).
Network hardware is:
0c:00.0 Network controller: Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 5300 AGN [Shiloh]
Network Connection

** Affects: wicd (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
