As far as I can tell, Charles uploaded a new version 2.1.12-2 that should fix the FTBFS, so you should change the title and the description of the bug report to reflect that (requestsync can help you with the content of the sync request). The bad news is that as we are past Feature Freeze, you should follow the FFe process described at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/FreezeExceptionProcess.
