Going forward, we're focusing our tablet support to -wacom and -evdev. Upstream's intention is that these should cover all tablets including this one, so we do not need a profusion of different X drivers for specific brands of devices. As you guys have noticed with fujitouch, these drivers are not well maintained upstream at all. Indeed, even -evtouch is not actively maintained anymore.
So, I would amend my previous advice by saying instead you guys should test this hardware with -evdev or -wacom, and file bug reports against them for any deficiencies found. Alternatively, you can see if Debian would be willing to maintain the driver. If so, we will pull it in normally (but too late for Lucid). But I suspect they'll also be of the mind that support for this hardware should be added to / improved in -evdev or -wacom. ** Changed in: xf86-input-evtouch (Ubuntu) Status: Triaged => Won't Fix -- [needs-packaging] add support for fujitsu tablet input device https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/134401 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
