Since the kernel was updated and I installed linux-backports-modules-
alsa-karmic-generic, I got ALSA 1.0.22.1
$ cat /proc/asound/version
Advanced Linux Sound Architecture Driver Version 1.0.22.1.
Compiled on Feb 8 2010 for kernel 2.6.31-20-generic (SMP).
$
And now I don't have sound.
If I use ALSA 1.0.20 or ALSA 1.0.21 it is OK.
I get sound either by removing linux-backports-modules-alsa-karmic-
generic or by choosing the previous kernel at boot (2.6.31-19).
