This bug affects me too. I'm running Ubuntu Netbook Remix. The "Connect" choice, from the cloud icon, does nothing. No user feedback whatsoever.
The right-click menu seems to work just fine. This problem only affects the "Connect" choice, from the left-click menu. My Ubuntu One login is working fine, when logging in on a webpage.
