Now I updated to the latest light-themes and I can confirm that the bug has not been fixed.
When selecting an element in the panel (e.g. top-level of Application menu) the text there has a grey/creamy colour - this colour does not contrast well with the background colour. The attached screen-shot illustrates the issue. To reproduce: a) select Applications in the top panel menu and select Accessories b) observed design: at the place marked by 1. in the sceenshot one can see that the text colour is not white - as a result the contrast is not very good. at the place marked by 2. in the screenshot the text colour is white and the contrast is excellent. expected result: The text in selected items in the panel (e.g. menu) should be white when the items are selected. Additional observation: In all other menus (e.g. if you open Nautilus and you select items via the Nautilus-application-menu) the selected items use white text - so in addition the current situation is inconsistent with the rest of the design. The attached screenshot confirms the observation. Using the gimp colour picker I got the following results: Colour of text "Application" in selected panel (top level) menu: dfd8c8 (HTML notation) Colour of text "Accessoiries" for the selected application item: ffffff (HTML notation) for white colour This confirms the inconsistent use of the text colour for selected items. Please let me know if you need further explanations. ** Attachment added: "new screenshot that illustrates the use of creamy colour for selected items in the panel" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/42274920/Screenshot-2.png -- [ambiance] text in selected menus or panel is hardly readable https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/536984 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
