That's the thing though. The screen is a 1080p screen. (Or it's a limitation of the video card - which can't drive the higher setting. I can't tell which).
The resolution selector doesn't state whether the resolution is 1080i or 1080p, and perhaps it should. See bug 550486 about the failure to identify the screen correctly.
