Another test: On exactly the same machine, a Thinkpad R51 - 2887, I inserted an UltrayBay with Ubuntu 9.10 on the hdd. On this installation the problem does not occur. I upgraded this installation to Lucid 10.04. The problem does not occur after the upgrade. The keys in Seahorse are stored as "Network Credentials" with the particular network icon.
